You have a podcast idea.
Let’s figure out what comes next.

You know you have something worth saying. Maybe you’ve even been thinking about starting a podcast for months (or years).

But somewhere between the idea and actually hitting publish, the questions start piling up.

What equipment do I really need? How should I structure the show? How often should I release episodes? What platform should I use? Do I need video? How much of this can I realistically do myself? And how do I make a podcast that I can actually keep up with?

YOU DON'T NEED TO FIGURE IT OUT ALONE.

The Personalized Podcast Roadmap is the perfect next step. It gives you one-on-one access to an experienced podcast producer and strategist to help you sort through the decisions, get answers specific to your show, and leave with a clear plan for moving forward.

Podcasting gives you space to go deeper.

Short-form content can capture someone’s attention, but a podcast gives you the opportunity to spend real time with your audience.

Instead of hoping an algorithm puts your next post in front of them, listeners choose to subscribe, tune in, and come back. Over time, that creates a different kind of relationship.

Podcasting also gives you room for nuance, stories, conversations, expertise, and ideas that don’t fit neatly into a post or a 30-second video.

And as your episodes build, they become something bigger: an archive of your ideas and conversations, a source of content you can reuse across platforms, and a meaningful way to support the larger business, mission, or community you’re building.

Not everyone needs a podcast. But if you have something worth saying, a podcast can give you the space to say it well.

The idea is the exciting part. Then come all the decisions.

Starting a podcast means making dozens of choices in an area you may know very little about.

What kind of microphone should you buy?

Should your show have guests?

Audio or video?

Weekly? Biweekly? Seasonal?

How long should episodes be?

Where do you host them?

How do you edit them?

What happens between recording an episode and someone actually finding it in their podcast app?

You can spend hours researching every one of those questions. But the “right” answer often depends on your goals, your audience, your budget, your skills, and the amount of time you realistically have to give your podcast.

That’s where I come in.

Your Personalized Podcast Roadmap

This isn't a one-size-fits-all podcast launch checklist.

We’ll look at the show you want to create, where you are right now, and what you actually need to move from idea to launch.

You’ll get:

           A THOROUGH PRE-SESSION QUESTIONNAIRE

Before we meet, you’ll tell me about your podcast idea, goals, current skills and knowledge, and the areas where you’re feeling stuck.
That means we can spend our time together digging into your podcast instead of covering information you already know or generic information you could attain elsewhere.

           A 45-MINUTE 1:1 STRATEGY SESSION WITH ME

We’ll work through the major decisions you need to make before launching your show, identify what makes sense for your particular situation, and answer the questions that have been keeping you stuck.

           YOUR PERSONALIZED ROADMAP

After our conversation, you won’t be left with a page full of random notes and another giant list of things to research.

You’ll have clear next steps for moving your podcast toward launch, along with resources to help you strengthen the areas you want to handle yourself and to identify the places where outside support may make more sense.

What can we figure out together?

Every podcast is different, so our conversation will be shaped by what you need.

Your Roadmap can help you:

  • Clarify your “why” and ideal listener

  • Refine your niche and podcast name

  • Define your style and format

  • Determine a sustainable publishing pace

  • Choose a realistic launch timeline

  • Create a technical setup and equipment list

  • Understand the production and scheduling rhythm

  • Determine where you may need technical support

  • Decide how much of an online presence your podcast needs

The goal isn't to build the biggest or most complicated podcast possible.

It’s to help you take steps to build the right podcast for your goals, resources, and life.

Meet your podcast strategist.

Hey, I’m Ashley.

I’m a professional podcast producer and strategist, and I’m also the co-host and creator of Unabridged: A Book Podcast.

Since launching Unabridged in 2018, we’ve published more than 300 episodes, and I’ve been helping other people launch and sustain their podcasts since 2021.

Before podcasting became my full-time work, I spent seventeen years teaching. That experience still shapes the way I work today: I love breaking complicated things down, making technology approachable, and meeting people where they are.

I also know what it feels like to sit behind the microphone and put your own creative work into the world.

My job isn't to tell you that there is one “right” way to podcast. It’s to help you understand your options, make thoughtful decisions, and create a show that feels manageable enough to sustain.

There’s nothing I love more than helping people with something worth saying get that message out into the world.
